A study in delicate fine linework justaposed with translucent daubs of colour loosely arranged overtop, this piece is a celebration of nature. Rooted in a surrealist framework where the expected and rational is intermingled with dreamscape, the resulting picture draws you in. Flora from the terrestrial world adorns a creature from the ocean in the middle of a lush floral garden. Colourful watercolour and ink shapes are strung together like a draped Neptune's necklace or string of salps forms a lei over the top - a symbol of love, respect and welcome.
 
Limited edition acid etching on coppet plate with hand painted watercolour and ink. Custom float framed in dark stained walnut. Made while on residency at the London Print Studio.
